Re’eh is translated "see". The complete understanding of this word is, "sight, the inheritance of G-d by the Ruach". We will go into more detail in the next paragraph.

Or means "light". The full understanding of Or would be, "light of G-d brought down to man as an inheritance." Its curious that when alef meaning "G-d" is placed first followed by resh meaning "inheritance" (when attached to yod meaning "G-d"), indicates light as an energy source which comes from G-d as an inheritance. Also notice the vav in the middle of or. The vav indicates G-d reaching down to mankind. But when the resh precedes the alef, as in the first example, and has the hey which is "spirit" (the subtle passing of air), attached to it, it is "sight" the gift of G-d.

It takes light to see. Without the Light of G-d, mankind could not see or perceive truth. Moshe is telling us to "See". He goes on to say, "See, I present before you today a blessing and a curse. The blessing: That you hearken to the commandments of HaShem, your G-d, … And the curse: if you do not hearken to the commandments of HaShem …"

Many today do not "see" obedience to Adonai’s commandments as a blessing. They truly think that they will be more blessed by disobeying Him. An example is Tithing. Our finances are tight so we look to "see" where we can cut corners. " ‘Oh look!’ We can have this much more money in our budget if we quit giving G-d His tithe." Yet, G-d tells us that withholding the tithe brings curses (Malachai 3). Then they establish their icons, a fancy new automobile or other sacred possession, as a replacement for G-d, by paying their tithes to the title holder of that sacred idol. Do not think you will be blessed for doing this! If you want G-d’s favor you have to obey Him.

"These are the decrees and the ordinances that you shall observe… Destroy all the places where… worshipped their gods… bring your offerings, your tithes … your vow offerings and your free will offerings…. You may not eat the tithe… " Deut 12:1-17

Earlier He told them, "But you shall remember the Lord your God for it is He that gives you the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant …." Deut 8:18

When will we believe G-d over our own thoughts and the lies HaSatan (Satan) tells us?

Haftorah, Isaiah 54:11- 55:5

"Any weapon sharpened against you will not succeed, and any tongue that will rise against you in judgment, you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of HaShem, and their righteousness from Me – the word of HaShem." (The Stone Edition Tahakh) Isaiah 54:17

When an evil report comes to you, condemn the words as lies and trust in HaShem, the G-d that heals you.

"Why do you weigh out money without getting bread and [exert] your efforts for that which does not satisfy? Listen well to me and you will eat well, and your soul will delight in rich food. Incline your ear and come to Me; listen, and your soul will be rejuvenated; I will make an eternal covenant with you…." (The Stone Edition Tahakh) Isaiah 55:2-5

Brit Chadisha, Matt 6:19-34

"31) Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, what shall we wear? 32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knows that you need these things. 33) But you seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matt 6:31-33
